Skywalker OG by Highbrow Maine
Normally an indica, this sativa dominant strain is perfect for positive social energy, as well as getting things done.
I’m back from the Death Star y’all, and I managed to grab an eighth of some out of this world Skywalker.
Skywalker OG is normally an indica dominant strain, boasting intense citrus, peppery, with little hints of strawberry and spice on the nose. Citrus will be the highest aroma profile, as the jar hit me with a wave of oranges when I opened her up. I’m a big fan of getting knocked off my feet with a strong smell of terpenes, so I was very pleased when opening this up.
The parents of the intergalactic strain are Mazar x Blueberry (Skywalker) and OG Kush. Skywalker alone tends to be incredibly indica heavy with a lot of those nice sweet notes but can be an excellent indoor growing strain producing high yields, thanks to the Mazar. The other parent, OG Kush, is one of the most famous strains out there. Heavily bred in in 90s in California, OG is a contributing parent in lots of other famous strains (Headband, Girl Scout Cookie, Tahoe OG, etc). The OG is going to contribute to the strong sativa factors of Skywalker OG. Although OG is high in the terpene myrcene (that good ol couch lock terp), she mainly boasts lots of euphoric, giggly, and upbeat traits.
The nugs from Highbrow were very fine looking. Not super dense, but not super fluffy. I liked the cure on this flower because it was just in between light moisture and dryness, making her very easy to take a part for use in a grinder or blunt if you use your fingers. I’m sorry for the lack of pictures on these nugs, I need to step my review game UP.
Let’s talk about the flavor: although she smells like oranges, she does not taste that way (to me). I picked up mostly on the woodiness, sweetness, and spice. The caryophyllene terpene is STRONG on taste. BCP terps will help big time with pain relief and protecting your body and brain from diseases. She is heavy with the herbal, peppery, and spicy notes found in lots of cannabis strains, especially the Skywalker OG.

Effects are just about the most important factor when picking a strain out at the dispensary. If you really enjoy smoking indica before bed, I would not necessarily recommend this particular hybrid for sleepy time, but most definitely for daytime use.
I personally tend to get worried when I find a sativa heavy strain. Since they provide so much energy and alertness, I fear that my brain won’t stop thinking and I can’t relax as well. I did not find that to be the case with the Skywalker OG from Highbrow.
This particular hybrid from Highbrow gives me such a social edge. I could talk for days with people I barely know with this strain. It released a lot of endorphins, giving me the perfect happy and euphoric feeling. This was the perfect strain to film a vlog for, as it gives you a lot of energy, creativeness, and again that social buzz that’ll make you want to chat! I will say though, what comes up must come down, as the Skywalker OG does have those strong indica traits hiding in the high. My eyes felt heavy after ingesting, but by no means was I couch locked afterwards. I was a little tired, but still had plenty of energy to get things done.
Overall, I’m gonna give the Skywalker OG from Highbrow the Coastal Girl seal of approval. I’m leaving her an 8/10: although the cure was ideal on the nugs, the density that I like wasn’t there. I prefer big, dense, and heavy nugs, whereas these fellas really only had the ideal cure. The taste was great, but the smoke was very harsh. My throat was on fiyah for the duration of that video because of the Skywalker OG. Those are really it as far as the only drawbacks.
