Florida Lemons by Clean Slate Cannabis

I know I’ve been MIA lately, and I apologies. I’ve been working, smoking, f*cking, smoking more, etc…..

Kinda. I’ve been busy the last few days but I did make some time for my eleventh Sample & Sesh. I picked up an eighth of Florida Lemons by Clean Slate this weekend and man ain’t she pretty.

Whew! Is it hot in here?!

There’s not too much detail on the ol’ girl, but what we do know is that she is originally bred from DNA Genetics and is a cross of Florida OG & Lemon Skunk. According to Leafly, Florida Lemons is a solid hybrid with great pain relieving effects, good for depression, and killer as concentrates. You got me reeled in so far! Let’s talk parents: Florida OG isn’t much of a high-yielding plant on her own, but is definitely ideal for breeding as it can assist with producing large yield. She tends to be gassy and earthy, just like Florida! The other parent, Lemon Skunk, was also a DNA Genentics original and tends to boost the happiness and euphoria for the user, while giving offer lots of skunk and citrus aromas. Alright, let’s get tasting already!

As far as looks go, it’s evident that the Florida Lemons is a stunner and Clean Slate absolutely knocked it out of the park! The bag appeal is certainly there, with all those beautiful orange hairs, trichome heads, and little hints of purple. But seriously, how’s she taste?!

She tastes like weed of course! ….crickets…..

I picked up lots of citrus and herbal notes on her. The flavors were very subtle and hardly there, but I picked up bits on the aftertaste. She wasn’t very harsh and didn’t linger in my throat either, so that’s always a plus.

Let’s talk high though: claimed to be a sativa leaning hybrid, I would say she’s more 50/50 for me. I totally got that nice energy boost from the sativa, but my eyes were heavy, which gave me major body high vibes. Both parents are hybrids, both giving sativa and indica traits. Motivation level did stay the same, but I certainly wasn’t couch locked. Great for a day of work!

Overall, Florida Lemons has earned a solid 9 in my book. Although she wasn’t as sativa as I wanted, she was super heavy smoke, the nugs were dense and attractive, and smelled like Florida oranges! If you’re from Florida, you definitely have to give her a try.
