Howdy again folks! Welcome back to ya girls blog again. This will be my first review of 2021! So of course we’re starting off with GMO.
I purchased this flower at the lovely Hive Medicinal in Chelsea. This was my first visit ever to the shop, and budtender Sam was very helpful and kind. The interior was welcoming with lots of accessories and products to gaze at, and even a live grow room. That’s fucking dope.
But let’s talk about some flower, shall we?
A colorful aerial
GMO or Garlic Cookies is a cross between Chemdog & Girl Scout Cookies. I’ve reviewed a couple different GMO concentrates, but never any flower. I’m attracted to GMO because of those beautiful gassy and skunky terpenes. Plus, she tends to be a great Indica to unwind with, as she’s usually a heavy smoke.
This is the first flower I’ve tried from THC Maine, but their Instagram feed is crawling with amazing looking flower pictures. If you can grow a killer GMO, you’ve got me hooked.
Upon opening up the Hive jar, I wasn’t quite slammed with those stinky aromas I was anticipating. However, as I broke up the nugs and got a good whiff, the smell was set free. Beautiful skunk and fuel filled my nose. The cure was well done, but she didn’t lose any stickiness. When ground up, her texture is a little dry.
I loaded GMO up into the ‘ol bong to get my three or so hits and to deliberate. I write and sample as I go with these reviews, so that way the info is as fresh as I can have it. I care about y’all, so I want y’all to have good solid reviews to read.

The three big flavors I’m noticing upon inhale are earthiness and herbal, while citrus comes through on the exhale. Very pleasant tasting flower indeed, with not a lot of harshness. I have thoroughly enjoyed this GMO quite a bit since purchasing.
As far as how she makes me feel, definitely gonna be Indica leaning. The high is most certainly that lovely Cookies kind of high. Euphoric, cerebral, and you’re absolutely relaxed. However with a bowl or two in, I definitely started to feel that Chemdog heavy Indica sensation. GMO is very much true to her parents, especially this particular pheno.
This lovely GMO by THC Maine is going to get a 9/10 today y’all. If there was a little more pungency on the jar smell I’d have done 10/10. Nonetheless, this flower hit all the right spots. Pleasant flavors, strong high, and nothing but a good nights sleep with this one. I will definitely want to try more from these folks.
