Welcome back my homies! Ya girl is coming in on this fine Monday with a brand new flower review.

Man. I love smoking weed and writing about it. I would do this forever if I could…

Anywho! Today’s participant is the stunning Widow Cake from the sweet folks at Other Level Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Other Level have been nothing but generous and humble with each encounter I’ve had. I always love seeing the faces behind the flower, as the passion for growing this plant radiates off these two.

Widow Cake is a not-so-common strain bred by People Under the Stairs Genetics. Her lineage is Black Widow x Wedding Cake, and any sort of “review” does not seem to exist! So I’m happy to present the first. We know Wedding Cake is a powerhouse indica-dominant hybrid, but combined with well-balanced sativa Black Widow, we shall see how the two work together when the smoke settles.

Visually, these nugs absolutely passed the vibe check. Covered in sugars, beautifully dense but not too hard, with lots of stickiness and strong aromas in the middle. Mostly drenched in greens and oranges, but if you look closely, you can see bits of purple shining through for colors on these flowers. When I broke up the buds, subtle whiffs of cheese and funk swelled my nostrils. Not OLG’s most intense smelling flowers, but nonetheless pleasing in her own subtle way.

I ground Widow Cake up and loaded her up in the bong, and for a different twist, threw some ice in the bong also. We getting that clean and chilly hit today folks. Along with the aromas, I think the taste on WC is also subtle. I personally picked up on earthiness, undertones of gas, and tiny hints of sourness. Letting the high settle some more, I found myself with an alerted and relaxed vibe. My eyes felt weight, but overall the mind was awake and ready for the days’ challenges. Clear-headed, motivated, but not high-strung, Widow Cake definitely settled as a solid 50/50 hybrid in ya girl’s opinion.

In conclusion, this supa green and frosty Widow Cake by Other Level Gardens is getting a 7.5/10. Although smell and tastes were subtle, the high was potent and displayed both parent strains respectfully. I’m always excited to see what this crew puts out in the community, so I wasn’t disappointed with WC. If you’re looking for a solid daytime strain for the household projects or errands, I highly suggest grabbing a slice of Widow Cake and letting her come along and help with any anxieties or other mental stressors.

As always y’all, do only smoke that local supply and fuck corporate cannabis inside and out! Let ya girl know if you try OLG’s Widow Cake and how you thought she smoked. Until next time, my stoners.

Cheers,
