Harvest Festival 2020 RECAP

My first ever Harvest Festival, and most certainly not my last.

Happy Monday my cannabis intakers! I hope everyone has had plenty of rest, plenty of fun, and most importantly, plenty of smoke this weekend. You already know I did.

I actually attended something I’ve never actually partaken in, and that’s a Harvest Festival!

Now of course there’s different types of “harvest” that could be implied, but I can certainly tell you that this harvest was all about cannabis, baby.

This particular HF was actually in combination with the 2020 MotoCup, and took place on a large-scale offroad park in Central/Western Maine. Now, I myself haven’t really experienced much with motocross bikes (besides almost running over someone’s grandmother while riding a mini one…) so this was a totally different scene for ya girl. Nonetheless, there was actually lots of talent and it was entertaining watching the jumpers.

The venue was mega spacious also, so I could walk about the whole property for shady smoke spots and front row motocross action.

In addition to the entertainment, there was my main focus: CANNABIS! We’ve come to the time of year were growers are harvesting their fresh crop, so attending this festival is where you can get the freshest flowers. Let me give you a grand tour of vendors from this weekend:

  • Humble Family Farms - Being one of the biggest hosts of the event, Auburn-based HFF grows quality craft cannabis for Maine patients with years of experience in the cultivation of cannabis. All flowers are hand-picked, hand-trimmed, and hand-packaged for the patients enjoyment. Available through Soylent Greens Delivery. [Purchased 2 prerolls and 1g of Gelato/Animal Cookies concentrate]

  • Soylent Greens Delivery - A medicinal delivery service with range in both southern & central Maine, they set the bar for compliance and satisfaction when it comes to getting weed to your door. Exclusive retailer of Humble Family Farms products. [Purchased 1/8 of Wonka Bars by Dialed in Farms]

  • Lit Girl Goodies - One of the extraordinary women in the industry with her unique, yet potent cannabutter goodies. Her treats are available in several retail and delivery locations throughout the state. Don’t expect to taste any weed here. [Purchased “Frome” cookie, gifted pumpkin spice cake pop]

  • Cupcake’s Cannabis - A soon-to-be Winslow storefront but current delivery service that not only carries quality well-acclaimed products from other caregivers, but also has a fire lineup themselves with lots of years growing under the team’s belt.

  • Halcyon Farms - Growing out of Hampden, Maine, a premier company of caregivers and cultivators with only perfection leaving the greenhouse. Everyday same-old strains aren’t a thing here, as they offer an exotic line of strains. [Purchased 1/8 of Purple One]

  • Herbal Remedies - Gorham based medicinal caregivers who are very experienced and familiar in the creation of CBD products. Not only do they have a line of CBD body care and edibles, they even carry some delicious flower as well as some concentrates from East Coast Gold. [Purchased 3-pack of prerolls]

  • Old Man Goodies - A mother that was fed up with strict cannabis laws, she and her family migrated to Maine and started a cannabis caregiving service that not only specializes in THC cake push-pops, but also CBD subscription boxes that allow you to dabble with the wonders of CBD. [Purchased 2 cake push-pops]

  • LIVE - A premier Maine source for quality cartridges. They have your classic THC cart, but also carts with potent HTFSE sauce, combinations of THC and CBD, and 100% CBD. [Purchased 1g GMO Live Shatter and gifted preroll]

  • Bud Tee Co. - The man behind a lot of the cannabis apparel you can find in this beautiful state, he has screenprinted probably 1,000+ apparel items and there’s nothing stopping him. Vinyl wrapping and sign-making is also in the works.

  • The Honeycomb Farm - Caregivers in Wilton, Maine with a clear love and drive for cannabis. Not only a cultivator of craft flower, but also offers extraction projects, consulting for your next grow, and a full-size state compliant kitchen for edibles.

  • Calmbound - A southern Maine company with a passion for feeding patients, while even creating baking sets you can make at home. They also specialize in a variety of CBD products. [Purchased 30mg waffles]

  • Dr. Dirigo - The only kind of doctor we really need. The Rosin Doctor of the 207 who presses well-known caregivers flowers, as well as they’re own dank. [Purchased 1g Mimosa Breath Hash Rosin and Smackwoods]

Whew. Did you get all that?

There was certainly an impressive and intimate group of caregivers and cultivators, so I had to make my rounds and make some purchases while I had the chance (above I added what I purchased and from whom).

I ran solo to this invite, as HFF was so courteous and gracious as to invite ya girl! As I made my rounds to the vendors tables and took some clips for the video to follow to this blog, I took time from shopping to blaze up the products I had purchased. At one part of the track, there was this perfect abandoned lookout tower that was BEGGING for someone to come up and enjoy. I found myself up there several times smoking joints and watching the bikers.

As far as non-THC food goes, the owner of the venue, Hemond’s Farm, had a cute little food stand that offered a couple different food options, so I ordered a burger to keep my tummy happy. Although I wish there were a couple more food vendors, I very much enjoyed what Hemond’s had to offer.

I really enjoyed attending an event of this nature because it allowed me to not only see friends that I’ve made in this amazing industry, but allowed me to emerge myself with new-to-me faces of this industry. I was happy because there were some caregivers that I hadn’t heard of (I.e. Halcyon & Live) and caregiver’s that I had been eager to see product from (Old Man Goodies, Soylent, Dr. Dirigo). I didn’t purchase anything from Honeycomb or Cupcake’s, but that just means they’ve been boosted on my list of must-try.

In addition to the vendors and motocross, there were also grafitti artists, going by their instagram handles of @prozzzzzzac & @_bretski, and some musical talent that consisted of Gray & Tylord bumpin’ beats in the afternoon, and Dirty McCurdy taking the stage at night (I wasn’t camping and was exhausted, so sadly I did not see our second musical guest, but the first guys killed it with a groovy setlist).

All in all, what a great experience I had. I’m so eager to dive into these awesome new products, bang out some more reviews, and keep y’all up to date on this amazing industry we have in this beautiful state.

Keep your eyes PEELED for any future events, as this was definitely one I’ll remember. I’ve officially decided that I want to attend ALL the weed festivals now. Let’s do it!

In the meantime, y’all make sure you stay high that lovely local supply and let’s make that bread this week,

Cheers,
